UGM, as an equality party, has always believed that women and youth must be at the centre of this transformation. For too long, politics has been locked away, dominated by the same old faces and the same broken promises. But Kenya has changed. The Gen Z revolution of June 2024 proved it. From the anti–finance bill protests emerged a new spirit; fearless, impatient for justice, and unwilling to be silenced. That spirit must now find its place on the ballot.
We are therefore calling on young people and women across this country to rise and offer themselves for leadership in the November 27th By-Elections. Kenya is ready for formidable, forward-looking leaders with the courage to serve, not to enrich themselves. Leaders who see beyond self-interest and are committed to rescuing this country from cycles of corruption, exclusion, and despair.
