From 22nd to 25th August 2025, Kenya will host the inaugural International Eco-Socialism Youth Summit, bringing together young leaders from Rwanda, Kenya, and Denmark to advance eco-socialist principles and strengthen youth participation in politics.

The summit marks the launch of a new partnership between the youth wings of green parties in the three countries. The collaboration focuses on mobilisation, political education, and building strong, independent youth structures that can influence party agendas and national policy.

In this pilot phase, the UGM Party Youth League will serve as the lead host, welcoming participants from the UGM Party Youth league from across various counties, the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda (DGPR) Youth, the Socialist People’s Party Youth (SFU) in Denmark, alongside additional delegates from allied green youth movements.

The four-day event will create opportunities for cross-continental exchange, deepen political cooperation, and equip young leaders with the tools to champion green politics in their respective countries. It will also serve as a practical demonstration of youth-led planning, organisation, and international collaboration.

This summit is not only a platform for dialogue but also a stepping stone towards building a connected, resilient, and influential global green youth movement.
