The UGM Party Presidential Flagbearer and Co-Party Leader Hon. David Maraga will join Kenyans in laying to rest Hon Raila Amollo Odinga in Bondo, Siaya County.

Hon. Raila Odinga’s political life shaped Kenya’s democratic development. He led the fight for multi-party democracy and served as Prime Minister during the 2008–2013 coalition government. He consistently advocated for constitutional reform and devolution. Over the years, he contested five presidential elections, pushing for electoral transparency. He also represented Kenya and Africa in regional diplomacy.

His death marks the end of a political era. Hon. Raila Odinga stood for electoral transparency, civic participation, and regional cooperation.

We honor his contributions. And we reaffirm our commitment to democratic values across Africa.
