The United Green Movement Party (UGM) is advancing a national effort to deepen its ideology and build momentum toward the David Maraga Presidential Campaign. As part of this broader strategy, the Party is convening its second Young Aspirants Convention, Limuru II.
This Convention follows the resolutions of Limuru I, held in December 2025, where the Young Aspirants Accountability Charter was developed as a guiding framework for young leaders seeking elective office. Limuru II brings together a new cohort of aspirants for positions across all levels of leadership, including Governor, Senator, Woman Representative, Member of the National Assembly, and Member of County Assembly.
The Convention is designed to do three things. First, it introduces new members to the Party’s ideology and manifesto, ensuring alignment in values and direction. Second, it provides a platform to review the progress made since the Limuru I Declaration, with a focus on accountability and implementation. Third, it sets the stage for a structured, programmatic campaign approach as the Party prepares for the August 2027 General Elections.
Following a competitive application process, selected aspirants have been invited to participate in Limuru II. This selection reflects the Party’s commitment to building a credible, values-driven leadership pipeline, while expanding opportunities for young leaders to actively shape Kenya’s political future.
Limuru II is a step toward redefining political participation by creating space for young, principled, and prepared leaders to step forward.
