UGM Party Launches Campaigns for Parliamentary Candidate Dr. Benson Obol Otieno in Ugunja, Siaya County ahead of the Nov. 27th 2025 By-elections

Today, the Party leadership joined Parliamentary Candidate Dr. Benson Obol in Ugunja for the official launch of his campaign. The delegation, led by UGM Presidential Flag Bearer Hon. David Maraga and Co-Party Leader Hon. Neto Agostinho, made several stopovers along the way, including Luanda Town Market and Mudhiero Centre, where they engaged with Kenyans.

The launch centered on UGM’s commitment to leadership that respects the Constitution and upholds the rule of law; values that have become the Party’s defining identity.

Delegates from various regions attended the event. Among them was Mavin Mabonga, Parliamentary candidate for Kiminini, Bungoma County, who urged young Kenyans to register as voters and turn out in large numbers during elections to ensure that public services, especially healthcare, are prioritized. Susan Lumumba, MCA candidate for Dandora, encouraged voters to support a new generation of leaders they can trust.

Hon. Easter Ogweno, Woman Representative hopeful for Homa Bay County, called on Kenyans to give the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 a chance by electing leaders committed to implementing it fully.

In their remarks, Hon. Maraga and Hon. Neto Agostinho reaffirmed the Party’s commitment to transparent and fair internal processes, particularly during nominations. They urged young Kenyans to step forward and take up leadership roles, emphasizing that the future of the country depends on their active participation in political processes.

Hon. Maraga described Dr. Obol as a qualified and visionary leader who embodies the spirit of service and urged the people of Ugunja to vote for him.

In his speech, Dr. Obol pledged to serve as a true servant leader who is accountable to the people and transparent in his work. He promised that his leadership will be focused on key areas such as health, security, agriculture, and environmental conservation. He expressed gratitude to the people of Ugunja for their warm welcome and called on them to vote for change and better leadership.

The UGM Party reaffirmed its commitment to engage and listen to the people before and after the elections, ensuring that public needs and aspirations guide its agenda.

The Party is fielding Dr. Benson Obol Otieno for Member of Parliament, Ugunja Constituency, Siaya County, and Mr. Odha Ilu Hiyesa for Member of County Assembly, Chewani Ward, Tana River County in the upcoming November 27th, 2025 by-elections.
